Helping to navigate your journey.
Jungian Psychoanalysis/Psychotherapy
for Individuals
Your life is your own journey, and sometimes you run into rough seas.

If you find yourself dealing with things like anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship problems, it can feel overwhelming.
At Windward Psychological, you'll find an experienced guide to help you find your own way. My approach is versatile, and grounded in the philosophy that deep understanding of a situation is key to learning what to do about it.

Since you and your journey are completely individual, you may need a process in therapy that will help you navigate it in a completely unique way.

In addition to being a Canadian Certified Counsellor, I am a Jungian Psychoanalyst (IAAP). One thing this means is that we may work together to connect with, understand, and challenge the deeper patterns that underlie your life. We may look at the issues you bring up as guideposts on your path rather than solely as problems to be "fixed". We may work with your dreams and imagination to get in touch with your own inner source of healing and development.
For me, psychoanalytic therapy is led by the patient. I see it as a process of navigating the many tense contradictions of life, for example between individuation and adaptation, or between the need for inner truth and the demand to meet the outside world.
I work in a way that is relational, collaborative, and insight-based, working to recognize, understand, and when necessary challenge the deeper patterns that underlie the patient’s life.
I am experienced in working with a breadth of issues, from anxiety, depression and obsession to personality disorders, complex family-of-origin trauma, and spiritual concerns.
A former actor, playwright, and musician, I have a deep appreciation for the creative process and its necessities.

Therapeutic work can be very rewarding; it can also be very challenging. Together, we can collaborate to build a relationship of trust, in which both the rewards and challenges can be met with courage.
I work with individual adults. Many employment benefits cover psychotherapy; if you are not covered, we can discuss ways to make therapy work within your budget.
